Team Notes

The Raiders fell to the Cincinnati Bengals, 34-10, at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday.

Oakland committed just three penalties, marking a season low. The Raiders were not flagged for a penalty in the first half, and did not commit an infraction until a delay-of-game call in the third quarter.

The Raiders entered the halftime break trailing 24-0, marking the first time this season that the team has not scored in the first half.

The Raiders held the Bengals scoreless in the third quarter, marking the first time this season that Oakland has shut out an opponent in the third period.

Sunday’s loss marked the fourth consecutive defeat for the Silver and Black, the first time since the 2008 season that the Raiders have lost four straight.

LB Kaelin Burnett, promoted from the practice squad on Saturday, became the 11^th player to make his NFL debut with the Raiders this season, joining OL Tony Bergstrom, DT Christo Bilukidi, LB Miles Burris, DE Jack Crawford, WR Juron Criner, WR Rod Streater, C/G Alex Parsons, CB Brandian Ross, RB Jeremy Stewart and LB Carl Ihenacho.

Individual Notes

QB Carson Palmer completed 19-of-34 pass attempts for 146 yards and one touchdown, snapping a 16-game streak in which Palmer passed for at least 200 yards per contest. The 16-game stretch is an Oakland franchise record.

Palmer also had a streak of four straight 300-yard passing games snapped. His three consecutive 300-yard games is a career-long stretch.

Palmer connected with WR Denarius Moore for a 20-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, giving the quarterback a scoring toss in seven consecutive games.

Moore’s touchdown catch was the sixth of the season for the second-year receiver, eclipsing his rookie total of five. He became the first Raider player since WR Jerry Porter, who had nine in 2004, to record at least six touchdown receptions.

Three of Moore’s six touchdown catches this season have come on receptions of 20 yards or longer.

K Sebastian Janikowski booted a 55-yard field goal in the third quarter, marking his 39^th career field goal of 50 yards or more, tops among active NFL kickers.

Janikowski’s 55-yarder marked his longest of the season, and his third from more than 50 yards out.

Janikowski has made 23 of 24 field-goal attempts in 2012, with his only miss coming from 64 yards.

Janikowski played in his 199^th NFL game on Sunday, and looks to become the second Raider to reach 200 career games played this season. P Shane Lechler reached the milestone on Nov. 18, vs. New Orleans.

Janikowski extended his streak of consecutive PATs to 122.

From 40 yards or longer, Janikowski has hit 15 of his last 18, his only misses from 59, 64 and 65 yards.

FB Marcel Reece made his third straight start at RB in place of injured RB Darren McFadden (ankle), rushing for 74 yards on 15 carries. Reece had a long run of 15 yards that fell just shy of his season-high 17-yard run on Nov. 18, vs. New Orleans.

Reece rushed for 29 yards on three carries during a third-quarter series that resulted in an Oakland touchdown.

RB Jeremy Stewart saw action in his third game and totaled a six receptions for 37 yards, including a 26-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter. Stewart also rushed seven times for 26 yards, including an 8-yard carry.

S Tyvon Branch returned to the starting lineup after being inactive due to injury (neck) last week. His missed start against New Orleans on Nov. 18 snapped a 57-game starting streak that began on Sept. 14, 2009, vs. San Diego. Branch’s streak was tied for third among active NFL safeties.

TE Brandon Myers hauled in a first-quarter pass, marking his 12^th straight game with a reception, dating back to the 2011 season finale on Jan. 1, 2012, vs. San Diego.

Myers tied for the team lead with 37 receiving yards, on five catches.

LB Philip Wheeler sacked Bengals QB Andy Dalton in the third quarter, forcing a third-and-17 and an eventual punt. It was Wheeler’s second sack of the season, marking a career high.

DE Matt Shaughnessy recorded a sack on a third-and-5 play in the third quarter, forcing a Bengal punt. It was Shaughnessy’s first sack since Oct. 14, at Atlanta, and he moved into the team lead with 3.5 sacks on the season.

Rookie WR Juron Criner totaled tied a season high with three receptions for 23 yards. He also had three catches on Nov. 18, vs. New Orleans.

Eight of Criner’s 10 receptions this season have come over the last three games.

RB Taiwan Jones recorded two tackles in punt coverage. Jones now has eight special teams tackles, which is tied for the team lead with TE Richard Gordon.

DT Desmond Bryant made his third consecutive start in place of an injured Richard Seymour (hamstring). It marked Bryant’s third start of the season and the 13^th of his career.

LB Kaelin Burnett made his NFL debut, seeing action on the punt-return unit in the third quarter.

CB Joselio Hanson made a tremendous play, forcing a fumble and diving to keep the ball inbounds on a key fourth-quarter sequence that was ruled dead due to an inadvertent whistle.

CB Coye Francies matched a career high with five kickoff returns. Francies totaled 117 yards with a long return of 28 yards.

Inactive for the game were QB Terrelle Pryor, RB Darren McFadden, RB Mike Goodson, OL Lucas Nix, T Willie Smith, DE Jack Crawford and DT Richard Seymour.
