For a second consecutive year during the NFL season, 95.7 The GAME Oakland Raiders game coverage will begin 90 minutes prior to kick-off with a local pre-game show, "Raiders Opening Drive", hosted by John Lund and former Oakland Raider and 4-time Super Bowl Champion, Bill Romanowski. Immediately following local coverage, 95.7 The GAME will broadcast the 30-minute network pre-game show courtesy of Compass Media Networks, hosted by Greg Papa, the voice of the Oakland Raiders.
Greg Papa will once again team with former Raiders quarterback, head coach and assistant coach Tom Flores for play by play. Flores is one of only two people in NFL history to earn a Super Bowl ring as a player, assistant coach and head coach. He won world championships a reserve quarterback with the Kansas City Chiefs (Super Bowl IV), as a Raiders assistant coach (Super Bowl XI) and as head coach of the Silver and Black (Super Bowls XV and XVIII).
Papa, named 2013 California Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), returns for his 18th season broadcasting the Silver and Black. Papa can also be heard weekdays from 12pm-3pm on 95.7 The GAME, as part of The Wheelhouse, with co-host John Lund. Papa also hosts MLB’s San Francisco Giants Postgame Live on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, and has previously served as the radio and television voice of the Oakland A’s, San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors.
Following Compass Media Networks broadcast team’s post-game wrap-up, 95.7 The GAME will feature a 60-minute local post-game show, “Raiders Extra Point”, hosted by John Middlekauff former NFL Scout and co-host of Haberman & Middlekauff heard weekdays from 10am-12pm on 95.7 The GAME. “Raiders Extra Point” will feature interviews, locker room reaction and listener phone calls. In addition, all regular season games will be re-broadcast on Sundays at 11pm.
